I met Aubrey, or Ace, as we knew him,  many years ago,when he came to Boston to visit family. My Mom was his cousin. In his World War II uniform he made quite an impression on this 15 year old cousin! Know you will miss a fine gentleman, husband, father and friend.

to do an act of kindness for someone else or just give a kind word of

The fight for life is over! The victory is won. Peace and joy at last! My memories of Dad (my father-in-law)are a great joy to me, especially in his healthier years which--was most of his life. A man of God, a great husband who knew how to treasure and treat his wife, a wonderful Father and grandfather, who loved nothing better than seeing all his family! He was a man of integrity, who could be absolutely trusted. He loved golfing, or a good card game, or just going out for lunch with family or friends. In his later and weaker years, he looked forward to his weekly lunch dates with a life-long friend, Perry Kirkpatrick, or when his children would come over for a visit. Dad always treated me like his own daughter all my life! He was Dad II to me and I will miss him tremendously. Now I've lost both my Dads, but they are with my Father in heaven, PTL, and I could never wish them back to this world. I cherish the memories, and will always hold them close to my heart.

Grandpa was one of my heroes. I looked up to him.....his life, his faith, his marriage and love for his family, was such an example of a Godly man in my life! Along with my dad, he helped set the standard high for the man I eventually married. How blessed I am to have had a Grandpa for 40 years...not many can say that. There is definitely a void in my life now that can only be filled with the joy of knowing that Grandpa is with Jesus, who he loved with all of his heart!

Mr. Copp gave me my first job in 1956 at 163 W Hastings. I have so much respect for him and the way he ran his business. My sympathies to your family. Don Davis, Calgary

Dear Beryl, Bruce, Michael ... and the rest of your family:

I loved Aubrey! He was such a cool guy and a wonderful example of what it meant to follow Jesus. He had such a heart for making people feel important even when they didn't think so ....

He used to let me drive his beautiful red '60(?) Olds convertible with the top down on sunny Sundays when I used to drive around Deep Cove picking up kids for Sunday School. This had to be the best school bus ever! We also used to have great sings at your place in N. Van ... lots of wonderful memories ... it's sad when we lose touch, but we never lose faith and our love for those who had an impact on our lives. May God bless you as you remember all the good times.
