Bernice was born June 18, 1940, in Victoria British Columbia to Erskine Leslie Cail and Phyllis Doris Cail. She grew up with her older sister Doris London, who predeceased her.
Bernice grew up in the Cumberland area and it was there that she met her husband Charles. They later married in Vancouver after she completed her schooling as a teacher at UBC. She retired in Surrey.
Bernice worked as a schoolteacher before settling down to raise their children Timothy and Lesley. She later worked as a regional supervisor for a marketing company until her retirement.
She travelled all over the world with her husband Charles, they loved cruising, sightseeing and meeting new people.
For relaxation they would often go to their property at the Glen at Maple Falls in the USA. Here they watched their children and grandchildren grow up. They loved the outdoors where they could ride bikes, go for walks, swim, and roast marshmallows and hotdogs over the campfire.
She would also be busy helping plan and cook for the many potluck dinners.
Bernice had a great love of reading books, playing Canasta and Aggravation with friends and family.
Bernice was predeceased by her loving husband Charles of 61 years of marriage, and is survived by son, Timothy Lovell and wife Monika, daughter Lesley Hoekstra and husband Neil, and grandchildren Nicholas Hoekstra and Megan Donaldson and husband Levi.
Bernice will be missed dearly by all her loved ones.
