April 7, 1954 – May 1, 2026
Bob leaves behind his wife, Jeanine, of 45 years, and their son Kyle.
Bob grew up in Richmond where he resided his entire life. He began his life living on Number 5 Road, moved around, but ended up back living on Number 5 Road. Number 5 Road is also known as “the road to Heaven”, and he has made it there.
His profession was in auto mechanics. He spent several years working for Granville and Avery Automotive. Bob wound down his working career there, working mainly Fridays… for a free lunch. The workplace was like a family.
Bob had many hobbies and interests over the years. These were important to him. He loved music of the 60s, 70s, and the Rock and Roll era. Bob would spend many hours, with his lifelong friend, Larry, listening to music together.
He enjoyed riding dirt bikes; that grew into bigger bikes. He enjoyed camping with his family every summer. He enjoyed the experience of the outdoors, and loved going for walks in nature. He went daily with his son, Kyle, for walks in a local park, hand feeding bunnies, squirrels, ducks and small birds. Bob was like an animal whisperer.
He found his passion for fastball and slow pitch. He played on several teams for many years. They became friends and community.
Bob’s passing has left all those close to him in shock and deep sorrow. Bob was quiet, shy, very caring, giving and an inspiration to others. He left his mark on so many people’s lives.
His love of music will live on.
“And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
“LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED” (The Beatles)
