One of my fondest memories of Carolyn was camping at Grand Beach. Our two families would meet up there and share a fire, food, stories and laughs or we would move the same good time to the beach where romance novels would add to the fun. All the while, despite bug spray and coppertone number 8, there would be the continuous click clack of knitting needles. Carolyn was a special woman and nurse who talked to me about my chosen career path and helped me when I had questions and wasn't clear whom to ask, she always told it straight.
