

Charles was born December 25, 1934 in Agassiz British Columbia to parents Clarence William Lovell and Charolette Anne Lovell. He grew up with brothers Clarence, Norman, and Leslie and sisters Dorothy and Evelyn. Charles was the last of his siblings to pass away.
Charles grew up in Cumberland British Columbia. It was in Cumberland that he met his wife Bernice, they were later married in Vancouver where they raised their family and then moved to Surrey in his retirement.
Charles worked as a Deckhand for BC Ferries up until his retirement. Charles often traveled to Quesnel where he would go hunting and fishing with family and friends. He traveled all over the world with his wife Bernice, they went on many cruises where they enjoyed sightseeing and meeting many new friends.
For relaxation they would often go to their property at the Glen at Maple Falls in the USA, here they watched their children and grandchildren grow up, they loved to ride bikes, go for walks, swimming, and roasting marshmallows and hot dogs around campfires. They played many games of Canasta and Aggravation with family and friends.
He also loved watching old western movies.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Bernice Lovell of 61years of marriage, son Timothy Lovell and wife Monika, daughter Lesley Hoekstra and husband Neil and grandchildren Nicholas Hoekstra and Megan Donaldson and husband Levi.
Charles will be missed by all his loved ones.
