Sending prayers in the way of your family. Hearing this news was devastating, to know that someone who could light up the room with his smile has been taken from us so soon. You were always so positive, willing to help anyone anytime, and blessed everyone with your presence. Dear God,
A young man has made a journey up to heaven's gate to live eternally with you. He has touched many hearts on his way, simply by sharing a smile to not only his friends but strangers. I have never seen a frown overpower his smile. I will always remember his support and enthusiasm with my sporting accomplishments and the venture I got to share with him to Banff in the spring. It has been a blessing to have meet Choco this past year and it's hard to say good bye so soon. I am praying for his family to get the closure they need and sending over my condolences. Until it's my turn to knock on heavens front door and reunite, I pray that you have found eternal peace. May the light of the candle never stop shining in your name Choco Tay! Amen

I don't really know what to say right now, or how to properly express my condolences to your family. I feel that nothing I say will be good enough to express the gratitude that I have for you. Choco, you were always so happy and full of life, and your jokes in Math and Chem were what kept me going through those painfully torturous hour-long classes. You're still the "bomb-diggity" and thanks for always being there for me whenever I needed to talk to you. 

You're in a better place now and I wish you and your family happiness and peace.

It's been so usual for me to see you around in school and white rock that I still can't believe that I can't do that anymore. Although I didn't have much chance to talk to and know you more, I will always remember you choco, the guy who shared chem and played clarinet with me, and who smiled at everybody. Thank you and may you rest in peace.

Dear Choco:

the memories we had together is just running through my head day by day. We had such fun times in our programming class and band class, we joked around when we stayed in the computer lab at lunch and i always need some help from you. You were too nice and gave out so much for everyone but got so little in return, including me. I would like to be a much better and a much closer friend with you, and do more for you. But now, I do not have a chance. I really miss you Choco. Take care.

It's hard to believe that I'll no longer get to see your uber positiveness and heartwarming smile. It's a shame that we barely ever got to talk outside of band class, but even still you were kind to me and would strike up a conversation whenever there was a chance. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be your friend and please keep the memories we made in band close at heart.

Although I've only known you for less than a year, your charismatic smile and positive attitude have already left a deep impression on me. I was extremely shocked and saddened by your passing, and it's still very hard for me to believe that you have forever left us. Rest in peace bud.

Choco. I will miss your smile your voice and how great of a person you were.

I will definitely remember how you always made us laugh in programming. You were a really friendly person to me and everyone else, and I wish we had more classes together so I could get to know you a lot more. Everyone will surely miss you as will I. Rest in peace, Choco.

     I want to tell myself that's just a joke and that's not true. But the nightmare comes too soon. I was really shocked when I heared that you certainly passed away.  You a good friend of mine. 
     Remember that we first met in that physics clase. And you actually a very hard-working guy, with a postive attitude everyday. You were happy and laughed when I told the joke about "wa la tian". Even just before the summer break, you looks still good. .............that's just hard for me to believe that why the god would take such a healthy guy like you............

It was great to know you even if it was for a short while. You kept chemistry (which you knew how much I hated) so interesting and kept the classroom a fun environment for everyone. I'll always remember every chem class you brought cookies and chips which you graciously shared with your nagging classmates. Rest peacefully and don't forget to keep laughing and smiling Choco! I've read all the amazing things people have to say about you and I regret not getting to know you better. Even so, I was so very sad to hear that someone who shared band class with me is gone. Let this remind us that we are not invincible and death is a very real part of our lives. I wish there was more time for us to become friends but heaven has gained another angle and you will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. My hopes and prayers to Choco's family, RIP Choco.

Dear Choco,

You always made an effort to say hi to me in the bandroom every morning. On the band trip to Banff, you were one of the friendly faces that I could count on seeing between concerts that made me feel at ease. You were lovely to absolutely everyone you talked to, and even though we didn't know each other for very long and we weren't close, you made an impact on my high school experience. I'm having a hard time comprehending that I will never see you again and it saddens me deeply. I hope I can one day be as kind as you were. You will be missed. May you rest in peace.

I remember how we laughed about your name being chocolate and joked about Dale's drawing (the broken neck) in Elite English. You always been positive supportive about my relationships and tried to help me to the best of your abilities. I never got to say thank you and now it's too late. I'm never going to forget Choco's smile that always lit up where ever he went. All the debates we had about the NHL during the trade deadline and the time spent together talking at school was fun because of your positive attitude. You will be never be forgotten. I'm gonna miss you a lot. I remember playing basketball with you almost every lunch. I'm finding it almost impossible to believe that your gone. I'm gonna miss your constant joking around and positivity. I wish I was more of a friend to you throughout these rough patches of life. It's sad to see you go. I will always remember you. I will pray for your family as well as you. I hope you are at peace.

Even now I still can't believe it. You always had this huge goofy grin on your face that always made things okay. I know we weren't close, and not the best of friends, but the fact remains that you were still so nice to me despite the fact that we were only good acquaintances. Even though I was just some really annoying and talkative person who happened to sit next to you in band class and was a year younger than you and liked to goof around you were still a great friend to me and an even greater person. I could tell you were an amazing person in the first second we met because you made any crap day I had feel insignificant. You always greeted me with that smile of yours, and you always made me feel comfortable talking to you (a feat not many can accomplish). You were only someone I knew in name and niceties. 

But you still made a mark.
You will be dearly missed my good friend. I will always miss those bad attempts at puns, out of tune clarinet playing, terrible jokes and most of all your friendly award winning smile.

Thanks for leaving a mark in my heart to remember you by. I will cherish the short year we shared together as classmates and friends.

I'm certainly going to miss the laughs we had in class together.. Hopefully everything goes well where you are now.

Choco was an awesome young man who added a real spark to my teaching.  I will remember him fondly.   Condolences to the family

In my mind's eye I see such a smiling, friendly, bright, funny young man who was always there to help others. He was such a delight and I can't believe he is gone. He will be so missed at school. I will miss him and remember him.

Dear Choco,

You were not only just a friend, you were like a brother. I will always remember those times of playing street hockey in your driveway, going to movies, and having pizza and root beer at your house. I will never forget your green crocs and how those were like the only shoes you ever wore. I will never forget our hockey rivalry and debates as you liked the Canucks while I was a Bruins fan. 

I will always miss you as well as the good times we spent together.

Sad to see you depart so early.  You're in a better place now walking alongside God.  I will always remember your bright and happy face. You were a positive part of my life and we will meet again one day in Heaven and share our stories. Until then, you're the big brother now and I know you will be watching over your loving family.

Dear Choco, 

I have known you before you can speak the first word and walk the first step. You were so adorable back then that I tried to visit you from oversea as frequent as possible. My favorite pastime to play with you was to say “clench!” (in mandarin of course) and watch you vigorously clenching your palm into tiny fists with seemly all the energy you had. Your athleticism today may have a root to the frequent exercises back then.

You took parts in many important events of my life. You were the “best man” in my engagement ceremony. We stay together in the same house while you were still in Edmonton. You were there in our family trip to Vancouver. I truly enjoyed all the time that I spent around you because you always had a wit to come up with new gestures or sounds to entertain people around you.

In later years, you and I were both into the video gaming thing a bit. In the basement of the Edmonton house, I still remember vividly that you were keenly watching me playing the Dragon Quest 7 and the Resident Evil 4. Your skillful maneuvers in the shooting games, like 007- golden eye, were so impressive that I fall under your fire every time.

I wish I could continue playing with you more.

Here we are. You no longer are with us. A fact that is painful to swallow. For now, I wish you rest in peace and wait for me for a bit longer. When we meet again, we will resume our favorite games.

You are a musical and mischievous boy who loves ABBA and Bee Gees. You frequently dance and sing to amuse people who are around you. I am lucky to have had lived with you in Edmonton. I enjoyed exploring math with you and was amazed how fast you could master arithmetic.

You are like fireworks that are so spectacular that my life is brightened by your intensive but short illumination. You are an angel and will stay in my heart forever.
