Christina Klein

August 14, 1925 – August 18, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christina Klein, who passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, just days after celebrating her 101st birthday.

Christina was born on August 14, 1925, in Ukraine, one of eight children. In 1948, she married her beloved husband, Karl Klein, beginning a life together that would take them across the world.

In 1949, Christina and Karl immigrated to Canada, where they began a new chapter of their lives and built a home and future together. They were blessed with their daughter, Linda, and family remained at the heart of Christina’s life. Christina and Karl later moved to BC to be closer to their family.

Christina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Karl, as well as her seven siblings.

She found great joy in gardening, cooking, and sewing. She had a remarkable green thumb and took great pride in growing her own vegetables. Her kitchen was another place where she showed her love, preparing meals for family and sharing the food she had grown herself. She was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed creating things with her own hands.

Christina and Karl shared a wonderful social life and were fortunate to have many friends throughout the years. They loved spending time with others, socializing and playing cards, and their home was often filled with friendship and laughter. In their retirement years, they especially treasured the time they spent in Hawaii with friends, enjoying the warmth, companionship, and many happy memories they made together.

Christina leaves behind a legacy that cannot simply be measured in years, but in the family she loved, the friendships she cherished, the people she cared for, and the countless ways she gave of herself throughout her life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda (Werner); her grandchildren Shelley and Randy (Tracy); and her great-grandchildren, Vance and Olivia.

Rest in peace, Christina. Your memory will live on in the family and friends you loved and cared for so deeply.
