Claude Stanley Hazle (April 3, 1939 – November 25, 2023) passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his loving family, wife Penny of nearly 58 years, daughter Christine, son Tom, granddaughters Katrina (Morgan), Scottie and Read, and great-granddaughter Anna. Claude will also be remembered fondly by his brother Jim Hazle (Jean), sister Lynn Andrews, special cousin Brenda Larrance, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the US.
Claude was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan at the tail end of the Depression, and moved to Vancouver with his mother as a young lad. He never forgot the good times growing up with his East Vancouver gang of Dave, Bill, and Roger, and they stayed in touch their entire lives. Claude will be missed, but we are happy that he is now at peace and free of pain.
The family thanks the staff of 3 South Langley memorial Hospital for making Dad’s final weeks comfortable.
