Corazon was born in Angeles City, Philippines, and immigrated to Canada in the 1960s. She was passionate about her career in teaching and carried that love of learning and service throughout her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Ann Varona (Phil); her son, Vladimir Suarez; and her granddaughter, Ashleigh Varona (Steven). She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Abelardo Suarez, who passed away in 1999, along with her siblings; Honor Sison and Encarnacion Sison and other loved ones who passed before her.
Corazon was deeply loved by her extended family members and church community. After retirement, she remained an active member of the United Church and shared her love of music through the church choir and the Kent Street Choristers. She found joy in tending to her garden and surrounding herself with many flowers and plants, which brought beauty and happiness into her life.
Her service and Celebration of Life will be held at Peninsula United Church on Friday, July 10, 2026. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the United Church, the BC Cancer Foundation, or World Vision Canada - organizations Corazon generously supported throughout her life.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
