

Passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 92, only son of the late Joseph Benjamin Adams and Muriel Adams of Richmond BC. Donald is survived by his beloved wife Diana of 60 years, two wonderful sons Philip (D’Arcy) and Cameron (Karen) and four grandchildren, Connor, Hunter, Carter and Makena, his sister Mervyne, and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by sister Verity and her husband Jack, sister Mervyne’s husband Bill, and his sister Onnolea. He had an extensive holiday in England and Europe where he met his wife Diana from Tamworth, NSW Australia. They were married in Chilliwack, B.C. on August 6, 1966 and were initially located in Williams Lake. Donald was born in Nelson while his father was there with Finning. His father was transferred to Vancouver where Donald grew up and was educated in Vancouver. Donald joined the Finning family in 1955 and was located with Finning in Prince George, Williams Lake, Prince Rupert, Terrace and Vancouver and settled in Richmond in 1971 where he and Diana raised their two sons. He retired from Finning in 1998. Donald was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was always available to his sons and grandchildren and other members of his family when needed and loved to attend the grandchildren’s soccer games. After he and his wife retired they spent many years cruising the world and also visiting Diana’s family every year in Australia and then spending 3 or 4 weeks cruising home to Vancouver. He and his wife, Diana, were long time volunteers with the Greencoats at the Vancouver International Airport and Donald was also a member of the volunteer program with the RCMP. Family service only by request and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
