It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Everett Alexander Cummings, age 25, of Langley, BC, on October 10, 2026.
Everett was born on July 1, 2001, in New Westminster, BC, to Desirae Knittle and Everett Andrew Cummings.
Following high school, Everett began working as a longshoreman with ILWU Local 502, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Everett was a hardworking and talented young man who took great pride in his home and the things he created. He had a passion for collecting art and antiques and possessed a remarkable natural artistic ability. Although he was modest about his talents, Everett had a unique gift for bringing colours to life on canvas. His creativity extended well beyond painting, as he could transform furniture, antique tools, and everyday objects into something beautiful and one of a kind.
Everett also loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his brothers and friends. These were moments he treasured, spending time with the people who meant the most to him.
Above all, Everett had a heart of gold. He loved his family and closest friends deeply and was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. Whether it was someone he had known his entire life or a person he had only just met, Everett was always the first to lend a hand. He had a genuine warmth about him and a way of making others feel cared for. His big heart, beautiful smile, and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten.
Everett leaves behind his loving mother, Desirae Knittle; stepfather, Marty Hall; brothers, Evyn Cummings, Ethan Cummings, and Nathan Hall; grandmother, Kim Knittle; aunts, Paris Street and Kailah Knittle; uncles, Sandy Knittle, Kirby Knittle, and James King; cousins, Ilene Huner and Bryanna Hunter; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Everett was predeceased by his father, Everett Andrew Cummings, in 2018, and his grandfather, Alexander Anthony Knittle, in 2025.
Though Everett's life was far too short, the love he shared, the kindness he showed, and the memories he created will remain with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Everett's life will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Victory Memorial Park, with a reception to follow.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Everett are warmly invited to attend and celebrate his life.
