JONES, G. Norman Ret. C/Supt. RCMP born March 12th 1918 – June 23rd 2011. It is with great sadness that we are to announce the passing of G. Norman Jones, 93 years young. Norman was born in Ashern, Manitoba to George and Bertha Jones and was the eldest brother of three. Pre-deceased brothers Raymond and Basil. Norman joined the RCMP May 5 1941 and retired in 1974 attaining the rank of Chief Superintendent. Pre-Deceased by his first wife, Ainsley Nee-Gemmill, and eldest son Evan and is survived by son Mark and adopted daughter Kim Maclaurin his second wife and loving companion Joy Nee-Jerred who he wed in 1980, Stepdaughter Frances Paquette, Stepson David Johnson and four grand children Casey, Joshua, Bryanna and John. “Rest in peace my love”.
