Garnet passed away peacefully November 5th, 2023 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Donald G. Smith and Estella J. Smith. Garnet will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years Barbara Ann Smith, his cherished son Addison and grandson Carter.
His strong connection to his loved ones brought happiness and strength to all. He will also be missed by his extended family and many dear friends. Garnet loved cruising, cooking and connecting to his family and friends through visits, email and phone calls.
He retired from BCTEL in 1999 after 35 years of service.
