I will always remember Hector and his hat.I can't believe  it's been a year since his passing.  I know you miss him very much Jo Jo. You are in our prayers.

Hey Jo, loved seeing pictures of Hector.  And your wonderful family.  He was an original.  So upbeat and humorous.  Such a large hearted and warm hearted man.   I wish we could all be in Bible  study together one last time —but then the best gathering is yet to come “up yonder” where he is waiting and free of pain.  So sorry for your loss.  Hope you are all managing ok.  ❤️

I will never forget the times we had with Hector and his lovely wife Jo Jo on our cruise down the Rhein River and our time together in Amsterdam. Hector was a funny guy and could lite up any room. I know he will be terribly missed by his family and friends. RIP Hector.

This is how I want to remember you, Uncle Ninong Hector, smiling and laughing in the face of love, happiness, even fears and challenges.

This was in 2016 when everyone (almost) finally was in one place and we thought to take a family photo. It was very hard to sit still because Uncle Hector was oh-so-happy, people kept laughing at his jokes and puns. I took BTS and made sure to capture what was happening this day. True enough, I had an entire row of photos with everybody serious, with Uncle Hector the only one with an ear-to-ear smile and laughing and not a care in the world. 

And like in this photo, sometimes showing that it’s okay to get tired when not everyone sees the positive in things—but still with a smile. :)

This is how I will remember you—-with a wide smile, giving a warm embrace.
