

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen Louisa Trudeau, age 94, on June 5, 2026. She passed away peacefully at the Residence of Morgan Heights, surrounded by family. The Residence of Morgan Heights was involved in her care for the last four years and provided compassionate and attentive support throughout her time there.
Helen was born December 25, 1931 in Toronto, Ontario to loving parents Charles and Ethel Snider. She lived life to the fullest and was dedicated to her work at MSA Hospital, where she was employed until her retirement in 1996. She was actively involved with the Fraternal Order of Eagles, was a Legion member for 47 years, and belonged to the Royal Purple. She also volunteered with Abbotsford Hospice and the Red Cross.
In 2004, Helen met a wonderful man, Bert Chunn, at a Robbie Burns Night event hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club. They shared more than 25 wonderful years together and travelled extensively, visiting destinations such as China, Hawaii, Alaska, New York, and many other places.
Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Muriel, Ida, Fred, Charles, and Edward. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael. She is survived by her children: Deborah, Stephen (Ann), Kim, Charlene (Gary), and John (Cindy).
Helen was predeceased by her life partner, Bert Chunn, and is survived by his children, Don, Brenda (Andrew), and Debbie. She was also predeceased by her partner, Norm Grender, and her husband, Joseph Trudeau.
Helen was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC V4P 1P3

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, tireless volunteer work, and for always being there for others.
