We are sad to announce that Kathleen passed away on the 1st of April, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, John McFarland.
She will be missed by her immediate family, children Lynn and Janet (Colin), her brother Desmond Weir, as well as by many friends and family.
Kathleen was a force of nature; embracing life and taking on all challenges and adventures with energy and enthusiasm. She loved gardening, baking and travelling – planning many trips to several countries around the world. Never far from fitness, Kathleen could often be seen running in the woods nearby her house well into her seventies. She had many close friends treasuring friendships for over sixty years.
