Kieron Gerard Grady

Kieron Gerard Grady, born on January 11, 1958, in Liverpool, England, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the young age of 68.

Kieron spent his childhood in Vancouver. He attended Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, a place that shaped his future in more ways than one — it was there he met Jennifer, the love of his life. They shared 41 years of marriage filled with devotion, partnership, and deep companionship.

A lifelong learner with an unwavering work ethic, Kieron pursued post-secondary studies at BCIT, followed by UBC Commerce, and ultimately UBC Law School.

Kieron began his legal career at Harper Grey Easton, where he quickly earned the respect of colleagues for his professionalism, sharp intellect, and steady integrity. He later continued his legal career at Lindsay Kenney, the Law Society and Klein Lawyers, bringing the same dedication and thoughtful advocacy to every case he touched. Along the way, he built lasting friendships and earned admiration from peers who valued not only his impressive work ethic but also the dry, cynical humour he delivered with impeccable timing — a trademark that made him unforgettable in every room he entered.

Outside of work, Kieron found joy in movement, competition, and the camaraderie of sport. He loved roller hockey, ice hockey, skiing, tennis, and pickleball, embracing each with enthusiasm and the spirited determination he brought to every part of his life.

Kieron was extremely proud of his children, Justin and Spencer. Although neither followed his path into law, he admired the determination and independence that led them to build careers of their own — Justin in mechanical engineering, and Spencer as a Red Seal electrician. Their achievements brought him immense pride.

One of the greatest joys of Kieron’s life was being a grandfather. He adored his three grandchildren — Smith, Shay, and Nash — and took immense pride in watching them grow. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines at hockey, soccer, or baseball, or simply spending time with them, Kieron’s face lit up with unmistakable joy. His love for them was boundless, and they brought him a happiness that was evident to everyone who knew him.

Kieron was predeceased by his parents, Terrance and Audrey Grady whose memories he treasured. He was also predeceased by his stepmothers Gudrun and Dorothy, to whom he remained close until her death. He is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer, and their sons Justin (Bry Christopherson) and Spencer (Morgan Reid).

Kieron is also survived by his siblings — Mark, Paul, and Maureen — along with extended family and many dear friends who will remember him for his loyalty, wit, and the steady kindness he offered so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course (5133 Springs Blvd, Tsawwassen, BC V4M 4E2).
