We met Kin only a few times after becoming friends with Leann and Jeff, but every moment we shared was beautiful, filled with laughter and generosity. From what we witnessed, Kin was a woman full of life and a true force of nature. Our sincere condolences go to her family.

I met Kin in the outdoor swimming pool at our apartment and we both had just got married, to white guys. We became very good friends like sisters since that day over 50 years ago. We shared our problems and supported each other. 
Kin became a single mom who raised two beautiful daughters and baby sat four grandchildren (whenever she could )whom she adored and was very proud of them. She was a great daughter, sister, friend,  and a pure-hearted, cheerful person who would help anyone. She helped her step mother (after her dad passed away) who didn't speak English, no family here and had many health problems. Kin took her to many different doctor's appointments and arranged a care home for her. She was there her until the end.
The craziest, bravest thing we did together was to swim across a lake and back. Do you know she was a great cook? She could find anything and then make a delicious dish in no time. She often said that when you ordered a steamed fish in the restaurant it cost a lot, but it is cheaper to buy a fish  at T&T and make it at home. She would tell you step by step how to make it.
Kin was just pure beautiful inside and outside. We adored her and missed her very much.

We were blessed to meet Kin a few years ago and privileged to host Kin’s 70th birthday at our mom’s house. This was the beginning of a short but very sweet friendship. Kin charmed all three generations of our family and we’re blessed to call her a friend.

We’ll miss your beautiful smile, quick wit and bubbly personality.

My heart is breaking as we say goodbye to a women I called " my dearest friend".
Kin, truly a gem. I will cherish the memories of our lunch and dinner dates. She cracked me up with her jokes and our laughter was endless.
She complimented me not realizing that she was all that and so much more.
Kin is my hero,  upon hearing of her diagnosis she told me she would fight, and she did always with a smile and forgetting her own pain. Truly a remarkable women...
Kin will never be forgotten her rare qualities will always be remembered as we will share her stories over laughs and tears.

I first met Kin at a gathering at Leann's . And I remember Kin's effervescent smile as we were introduced! That's what I will always remember about her. 
I will not be able to attend the service, but will be thinking of her and all of you tomorrow. ❤️

My deepest condolences to the Family of our Dear Sweet Kin.

I first met Kin at Leann and Jeffs wedding in Hawaii.  She was my friend Leann's Mom, and she was my "Roomie".  Considering we had only spoken on the phone a few times before first meeting in person when she parked at my place to go to the airport together, it is amazing that she made such a huge impact on me and eventually my family.   

Little did I know that trip was the beginning of a short, but life altering friendship.  Kin's warm, charismatic and vibrant personality had me hooked and I think you all know what I mean.  She was the kind or person you couldn't get enough of,  someone you wanted to spend time with, and, she made you feel the same same in return.

Over the years, we've had memorable times spent together.  Dinner at her place, at Leann and Jeffs place, at my place, and heck even my Moms.  Great food, lots of laughter, great conversations and she was in the centre of it all.  

I will always cherish the memories I have of our friendship and the joy she brought into my life. I will miss my Roomie, but she will never be forgotten!
