Lawrence 'Larry' Gilmour

With heavy hearts, we announce that Larry passed away suddenly on the morning of February 26, 2025. He was born in St. Thomas, Ontario on October 24, 1946 and moved to Vancouver in the 1960's.

Larry was known to many as "Happy." He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing and travel. Larry was very social and had a wide circle of friends throughout his life. He had a varied career in sales and marketing and the grocery and pharmaceutical industries. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his dog Ragnar at the dog parks where he met with friends daily. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Mona, his children Melissa Johnson, Larry Gilmour Jr and his wife Merissa, Jeff Gilmour, and his grandchildren Dayton Gilmour, Ben Johnson, Summer Johnson, Edward Gilmour, and Levi Gilmour. He is also survived by his siblings Mark Gilmour, Lynda Goossens (John), Anne Fishleigh (Mike), Martin Gilmour, and Dean Gilmour (Mimi), in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, etc. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Agnes Gilmour.

He was a much-loved man and will be greatly missed by all.
