Varouj Nouri Jean Arabatlian

Varouj Nouri Jean Arabatlian was born on August 1, 1936, in Aleppo, Syria, to Azadouhi and Ohaness Arabatlian. He was one of five siblings: three sisters, Janet, Beatrice, and Suzy, and one brother, Kevork.

When Varouj was a young child, the family moved to Beirut, Lebanon, where he spent his early years.

In 1966, Varouj married Mary Kurkjian. Together, they welcomed their first child, John, in 1967. In 1974, they moved to Canada, where their daughter Patty was born, followed by their son Bobby in 1977.

Varouj worked as an electrician until 1980, when he began his journey in the jewellery business and became a skilled goldsmith. In 1981, John’s Wholesale Jewelry was established, marking the beginning of a business that became an important part of his life and legacy.

Varouj was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Alisha, Celine, Chanel, Rakel, Roman, Paris, Chloe, and Micah
