It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Lynam, who left us on October 6, 2025, after a courageous battle. Pat was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on October 25th 1939, and grew up in Glasgow. He then moved to Canada, lovingly calling it home.
Pat was predeceased by his beloved sister, Mary and brother, Eddy whose memories he carried with him throughout the rest of his life. He is survived by his brother Gerry, his loving wife Rose, daughters Petra and Claire, son Paul, as well as extended family and friends.
Pat had a generous heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He had a natural ‘gift of the gab’ and a love for storytelling. His charm and wit, along with his love for the game of golf and football, were well-known to those who knew him best.
Patrick’s final wish was to have his remains scattered in the Mountains of northern British Columbia where stunning mountain landscape held special meaning to him.
A heartfelt thank you to all his family and friends who provided comfort and companionship in his final days. Our gratitude also extends to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and hospice workers whose kindness and compassion supported Pat and his family during this time.
“May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
