We are profoundly sad to announce Robert’s passing after a lengthy illness with kidney disease. He is survived by his grieving family; wife Margaret, children David (Melissa) and Christine (Brad), grandchildren Sarah, Owen, Sean and Trevor, sister Anne (Myles), and extended family in England and Wales. He is predeceased by his brother Alan.
Bob grew up in Tsawwassen, graduating from Delta Secondary. He earned a BSc at UBC, became an accountant and later was a Fellow of the accounting society (FCMA) in recognition of his professional achievements.
He was a remarkable man who lived every day to its fullest. Always positive, always looking on the sunny side, he achieved much, living life at full throttle. He established his business in 1982 and had immense satisfaction watching it become established and successful. His hobbies were many and varied, from glasswork and woodwork to hiking, running, slo-pitch, car racing and boating. He traveled widely and with a spirit of adventure. He believed in giving back and was a long-term volunteer with several charities.
Robert’s family was a joy to him, and he was actively involved in every milestone of his children’s lives.
He had health problems throughout his life and dealt with them with grace and dignity. He is at peace now.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 on November 1st, 2026 at Tsawwassen Springs.
If you so wish, donations may be made in his memory to Delta Hospital Foundation.
