I am deeply sorry for the loss of your wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was a truly special person, and she brought so much light, kindness, and joy into the lives of everyone around her, including mine.

Oma, Oma, Oma… I will never forget you and all the love you gave me throughout my life.

You were the sweetest little lady, always so warm, kind, and caring. From the very beginning, you made me feel so loved and special. As your first and eldest grandson, I will always cherish the special bond we shared. Your door was always open to me, and I always knew I had a place with you.

I have so many beautiful memories of you that I will carry with me forever. I remember going for walks with you, listening to you speak German, and all the times you cooked for me. You would never let me leave hungry lol I remember how much we laughed together and that beautiful smile that could light up a room. Some of my favourite memories are the trips we took together to White Rock Beach and Vancouver Island. Those are memories I will treasure forever.

Every Christmas, you would send me packages filled with little toys, candies and cookies. Those packages may have seemed like little things, but they meant the world to me. They were a reminder of how much you loved me and how you were always thinking of me.

I feel so lucky to have had you as my Oma and to have grown up with so many wonderful memories of you.

I also feel so honoured to be able to carry on your maiden name, Tod. I will carry it with pride and always remember the beautiful woman and the wonderful Oma who gave that name so much meaning.

I love you, Oma, and I will miss you more than words can ever say.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Rosemarie’s family during this incredibly difficult time.

I have been a family friend for nearly 25 years, and I had the absolute privilege of knowing Rosemarie. For a time, I was her care aide, but somewhere along the way, she became so much more than that—she became one of my dearest friends.

I will forever hold our memories close to my heart.  The long conversations we shared on our walks, the wisdom and advice she so freely gave, and the love and kindness she always showed me. There was a 50-year age difference between us, but it never mattered. The bond we shared was truly special, and it is something I know can never be replicated.

Rosemarie was the kind of woman and mother I strive to be. She was a friend with one of the purest hearts I have ever known. She always wanted the very best for everyone around her, but especially for her family. Her love for them was undeniable, and the impact she had on the people who knew her will live on forever.

Thank you, Rosemarie, for coming into my life. Most of all, thank you for being my friend. I am so incredibly grateful that our paths crossed, and I will cherish the memories we made for the rest of my life.

In Loving memory  of my Oma whose love, kindness, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts. Rosemarie was Caroline’s mother, but she became a part of my life too, and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to know her and share time with her.

Being welcomed into someone’s family is something I never take for granted. Over the time I knew Rosemarie, I came to appreciate the person she was and the love she had for Caroline. Seeing the bond between a mother and daughter made it clear just how much she meant to Caroline and how deeply her absence would be felt.

Her passing has brought a sadness that is difficult to put into words. There are moments when you realize just how precious time with someone really is, and how quickly life can change. I wish there could have been more time, more conversations, and more memories.

I will always be thankful for the time I was able to be a part of Rosemarie’s life. Her memory will live on through Caroline, through the stories and memories that are shared, and through everyone whose life she touched.

Most of all, my heart goes out to Caroline. Losing your mother is a loss that can never truly be replaced. I hope she always knows that she does not have to carry that pain alone. I’ll be beside her, remembering Rosemarie, supporting her, and helping keep her mother’s memory alive.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved  oma Rosemarie Letzing, a truly beautiful soul whose kindness, love, and warmth touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Rosemarie was the heart of our family in so many ways. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she was always there with a listening ear, a comforting word, a helping hand, or simply a warm smile that could brighten even the hardest of days.

She gave her love so freely and unconditionally to her family. She cherished each of us and made us feel special in our own way. The memories we share with her—her laughter, her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the countless moments of love she gave us—will remain treasured in our hearts forever.

Rosemarie taught us that love is found in the little things: in caring for one another, in being there when someone needs you, in forgiving, in sharing, and in making time for the people who matter most. Her life was a beautiful example of what it means to love deeply and give generously.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love she gave us. ❤️❤️My Mom was my first friend, my best friend, and one of the greatest inspirations in my life.

She was the person I could always turn to—the one who loved me unconditionally, believed in me when I doubted myself, and stood beside me through every chapter of my life. Her love gave me strength, her wisdom gave me guidance, and her kindness showed me the person I hope to be.

There are so many things I will miss about her, but most of all, I will miss simply having her here. Her voice, her laughter, her hugs, and the comfort of knowing that no matter what happened, I could always call my Mom.

She was more than just my mother. She was my safe place, my biggest supporter, my teacher, and my best friend. So much of who I am today is because of her.

Losing her leaves a space in my heart that can never be filled. But I will carry her love with me for the rest of my life—in the lessons she taught me, the memories we made, and in all the little pieces of her that live on through me.

I am so grateful that I got to call her Mom. I love you, ❤️❤️

One of the things I will always cherish most about Oma was her kindness and the unconditional love she gave us. I will always remember her picking us up from elementary school, knowing that seeing Oma meant we were going home to a place filled with warmth, comfort, and love. I’ll always remember her cooking and the simple things she enjoyed so much—her vanilla ice cream, her favourite Kokanee beer, and her jam bread.

I’ll also never forget her beautiful rose bushes in the front of her house. They were something she loved and cared for, just like she cared for the people around her. Whenever I see roses, I know I’ll think of Oma and the love she put into everything she did.

It’s the little memories that I will hold closest to my heart—the everyday moments that may have seemed so ordinary at the time, but now mean everything. Oma gave us so much love, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had her in my life.

I will miss her more than words can say, but her kindness, her love, and all the beautiful memories she gave us will stay with me forever. I love you, Oma. ❤️

Deepest condolences Janet.  Losing a Mother is very tough.
Your Mom born in 1938 Austria is quite interesting.  She may have heard some very tense stories from her parents as WW2 was closing in.
We’ll see you on the 10th.

My dad and your dad were friends when we were kids and i remember coming out to your place sometimes. I really appreciated getting reaquainted with you, janet, in the last 8 or 9 years and hearing all the stories about your mom.  Agnes, my stepmom, always spoke of her as well.
May you all find comfort in each other during this period of grieving.
