It is with profound sadness we share with you the passing of Roy Edward Dibble. Roy passed away swiftly, surrounded by family, on May 26 2026 at the age of 77.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Kim Cuddington (mother Dianne), son Steven Dibble (mother Cathy), daughter Christine Dibble (mother Cathy), sister Joanne (Terry) Thorndike, and brother Rick (Teri) Dibble, as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Earl Joseph and Ethel May Dibble.
Roy was born on February 28 1949 and was raised in Regina, SK. He then resided in Ontario and British Columbia. Many of his pastimes involved appreciating the natural world. He enjoyed gardening, backyard birding, kayaking, caring for plants and animals, and travelling to new places. He fastidiously documented, through photo and video, these life experiences.
Roy enriched our lives with his effortless conversation, meticulous kindness, and determined efforts to increase everyone's enjoyment. Roy's appetite for life and love of laughter were best expressed during numerous, although slightly crazed, projects with family. Together we built, played, tinkered, and traveled. We mourn the loss of not only our father, brother, uncle, or cousin, but also, our best friend.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on June 3rd 2026, at Victory Memorial Park & Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC, to celebrate his life. Roy will reach his final resting place in Regina, SK, joining three generations in our family plot.
A second Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK, starting at 11:00AM. An interment will take place following the service at Regina Cemetery, 2120 4th Ave.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Roy's memory to the OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society, 3800-72nd Street, Unit 3, Delta, BC Canada V4K 3N2, phone: 604-946-3171
