She is survived by her two children, Laura and Michael Morton, and sister Loretta Buchi. Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Edward (Ted) Morton. She was born January 25, 1945, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to the late James Thomas Breary and lsabella Dobbie Finlayson. Then moved to Vancouver, BC at age 3.
Sheila enjoyed many jobs; working for B.C. Tel, Delta Hotels, Atlas Travel, and the Federal Govt. She ended her career journey as an Education Assistant working in Surrey schools.
Some of her favourite past times were skiing, dancing, swimming, sunbathing at the beach, and camping. She loved skating with friends, which led her to meeting her sweetheart, Ted, at the ice rink. She also enjoyed many years as a Girl Guides leader and later as a member of the Trefoil Guild.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved family and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 18th, at 1:00pm at Pacific Community Church in Cloverdale, 5337 180 St, Surrey, BC V3S 4K5. Parking is free and ample.
Sheila was a cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila's name can be made on-line to the Canadian Cancer Society.
