In Loving Memory

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherrill Lynn Nelson, who left this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 85.

Sherrill is survived by her husband of 64 years, Blaine; her children, Graeme (Manon) and Allison (Jeremy); her three grandchildren, Sarah, Janet and Jack-Harris; her three siblings, Glenn (Janice), Micheline (Will), Sidney (Catherine), and nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Mavis Taylor, and her brother Jay.

The matriarch of the family, Sherrill was a steady and guiding presence whose warmth, kindness and compassion touched everyone around her. She approached life with an unwavering integrity and a generous spirit. Inquisitive and engaged with the world.

Sherrill was passionate about travel and her love of the arts.

Sherrill enjoyed a successful career in banking and was always active in her community.

She was a proud member of Alpha Iota Sorority, where she developed friendships she cherished throughout her life.

A celebration of Sherrill’s life will be held on June 25 at 12:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity in White Rock. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in remembering and honouring a life beautifully lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver, a charity dear to Sherrill’s heart.
