

Terry Brennan, 65, of Delta, BC, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2015. Terry was born in Fort William, Ontario on March 28, 1950. He grew up and attended school in the Rosslyn Road area of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Terry is survived by his wife Shirley (Minall) of 45 years, son Brian (Lisa Visser), daughter Julie (Brodie Jamieson), grandchildren (Kyle, James, Brynne). Also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Bob Speak) and Patricia (Roy Todd); brothers Marvin (Sue Brennan) and Dale; in laws Gerarda Brennan, Shelley Brennan, Lisa Zozula, Fred Haner, Mike Prystanski and Marion and Roger Snow; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Cecile Brennan; brothers Maurice Brennan and Bill Brennan; sisters Janis Prystanski and Denise Haner and in laws Fred and Alyse (Minall) Duncan and Shirley Brennan and Louise Brennan. Terry’s greatest commitment was to his family and grandchildren, who were the highlight of his life.
In his early years in Ontario, many memories were made at Scotch Lake with family and good friends. Upon moving to B.C., Terry discovered Deep Bay on Vancouver Island, which became his second love. Many hours were spent fishing the West Coast waters with friends, including his son Brian.
Terry had a successful 37 year career in the forest industry. In 1974 he joined MacMillan Bloedel working at the Waferboard Plant in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In 1988 he was transferred to B.C. to manage the K3 Particle Board mill in Vancouver. In 1994 he then transferred to the MacMillan Bloedel head office in the Particle Board and MDF section. His next career move was with Trus Jois Weyerhaeuser in Kenora, Ontario in senior roles in Parallam and Timberstrand. He retired from this line of work in 2005 and went onto Ainsworth Lumber Vancouver as Vice President of Operations. He officially retired in 2011.
We are forever grateful to Shirley for the selfless care she provided for Terry during his illness. We would also like the thank Dr Lyly Le of FVCC and the nurses of Laurel Place Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
A mass will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:30am at Saint Bernadette Parish, 6543 132 St, Surrey, B.C.
