We are so sad to hear of Terry's passing. When we think of her it brings many warm feelings and memories.  Terry's ability to share her joys of life with us is what stands out the most.  She always wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and she did this by sharing herself, her home, her cabin at Lummi and her family with us.

Dearest Klimek family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Not only was I privileged to have Terry in my life, but also to hear all the old stories from she and my mother about their lives. I can hear her gravelly laugh now as she called my Dad "old poot". I also remember visits with her and your family when I was in Canada with mother. One of the best times I ever had was when she came to visit WV and we drank her box wine. Mother's heart is broken for the loss she and you all have suffered. So sorry to hear of Auntie Terry's passing; and I wish to express our regrets of being unable to attend her Celebration of Life service.  I will always remember your mom as a strong and generous woman.  So glad to have seen her at our family reunion in September.

I hope you find comfort & happiness in knowing your mom touched the lives & hearts of so many, & gave them the gift of many happy memories. My condolence to the whole family.

Words cannot describe how I feel. I think you all know my feelings for Terry. She was like a mother/best friend to me. I will always cherish my time with her. Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you.

I am sorry to hear about your mom.  I know she has struggled for the last little bit but I am sure there are lots of memories that are suddenly coming back now that she is gone.  Mine will always be her walking around the Lummi cabin with a glass of wine in her hand and enjoying laughs with the kids!

While we haven't seen Terry for some years, she, Ed and the entire Klimek family were people that you are happy to have known. We enjoyed many happy hours with them on Lummi Island and are now much saddened to learn of Terry's passing. However in time we know her family will have peace in the knowledge that she is now in a better place and she and Ed are together again.

Condolenses to the entire family and friends, take comfort in the endless positive memories of time and expiriences well spent. Personally, two such memories come to mind chocolate chip cookies (later to become slices) and of course Lummi Island.

She was like a second Mom to myself and many others...Lummi and her house are my fondest memories in life. She was a ton of fun and quick to laugh always making everyone welcome around her. I will miss her very much but feel very lucky to still have the legacy of her loving kids in my life.

Few I think would disagree that when Terry's name or Lummi Island is mentioned,  that one thought quickly connects to the other.  When you were around Terry, you knew where you stood, you were fully aware she liked having you there and there was no doubt, that where Lummi is concerned, having the "extended" family close to her genuinely made her happy.  That's an impression that made it so easy for myself or anyone who knew her, to love her back.  If you came home from a weekend there remembering anything at all, it was the love and hospitality of the Klimek family in general, but particularly, Terry and Ed.  I remember the German potatoe salad too, and Terry made a turnip convert out of me with her Turnip Surprise, but if you need to capture the true essence of Terry Klimek it's that she was a giver.   When you do that, giving of yourself so freely, this expression of love is truly surprising in its reach and effect.  And that is how I will remember her.

So many years have gone by, but I fondly remember  wonderful childhood memories of us all playing together being the best of friends and feeling just as at home in your house as ours. Your Mom was a beautiful, funny, special lady and I loved her. I'm so sad for your loss but comforted by the thought that she and your Dad are together again. My prayers are with all of you.

I was very sad to hear the news of the loss of your Mom.  I remember her so fondly at those fun days at Lummi Island.  She always made everyone feel so welcomed and like part of her family. I remember her smile , laugh and of course her german potato salad and green bean casserole.  My heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time.
