Tony Tomic

It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Tomic announce his passing. Tony, 83, of Surrey, BC, passed away on November 26, 2023 as a result of a stroke suffered in November 2020. He passed with his family at his side.

Tony was born in Lic, Yugoslavia (now Croatia). He is survived by Lorraine, his wife of 58 years, daughter Tracy, son Michael and his dog Sophie.

Tony immigrated to Canada in 1960 and worked in logging camps, then as a commercial fisherman and finally settling in the construction industry, from which he retired in 2011.

Tony was an incredibly hard working man and led a simple, uncomplicated life. His ideas of a good time was hanging out in the backyard with his cats, dog and a cold beer.
