April 14, 1921 - March 28, 2011
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Bill Young on Monday March 28, 2011 at the Richmond Hospital. Although saddened by our loss we are happy in thought that he has now been reunited with his beloved wife, Irene and his daughter Gloria. He will be dearly missed by his son Brian (Louise), daughter Sharon (Terry), and 5 grandchildren Dawn (Greg), Colin, David (Cathie) Lance, Brent (Olga) and 6 great grandchildren.
Born in Victoria, BC he moved to Vancouver in 1924 , attended Stanford Flemming and Vancouver Technical school, served in the RCAF as a navigator from 1942 to 1945, met his beloved Irene in 1946, married in 1948. He began teaching in Coquitlam at Como Lake High School as an Industrial Arts teacher in 1951 and then at Centennial High School until he retired in 1984.
