Yu Yen Liu

A family visitation for Yu Yen will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at First Memorial Funeral Services Fraser Heights Chapel (14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC V3R3N6). Following the visitation will be a witness cremation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Victory Crematorium (14831-28th Ave, Surrey, BC V4P1P3).

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Yu Yen Liu, who left us on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the age of 101. She is survived by her children, Nelson Ling, Johnson Ling and Josephine Cheung; grandchildren Leevan Ling, Hoovan Ling, Gladys Ling, Wai Sze Cheung, Devan Ling, and Eric Cheung; and great grandchildren Bella Ling, Sebastian Wong, Amaya Wong, and Alyssum Ling.

Our Mom was born on October 19, 1922 in Shanghai, China. There, she met the love of her life, our father, and married at the age of 25. They had been happily married for forty years until Dad’s death did them apart. For the last thirty-five years, Mom missed Dad every single day. - now, they can finally reunite in heaven.

Throughout her life, Mom was a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom for her family and friends. As we mourn the loss of our Mom, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives, the lessons she imparted, and the love that so generously shared. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength, and may we find solace in the knowledge that her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

May Mom rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that she so freely gave during her time with us.
