Janet A. Lang

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Herve and Bertha (LaFrance) Bouchard.

Janet graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Fall River and received her Master’s Degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMASS Dartmouth). A former Dental Assistant, Janet went on to work as a Social Worker with Word Inc. until she retired. She was a resident of Swansea (Leeside) for over 50 years and a member of the Swansea Garden Club. Janet loved shopping, fashion and lived in style. She enjoyed fine arts, and spent her pastimes accompanied by her parakeet “Nickey”; listening to her favorite musicians, coloring and writing. Janet’s most cherished moments were spent with her late husband, as they established a family and created everlasting memories during their 30 years of marriage.

Janet is survived by one daughter, Amy Bedard of Swansea; three grandchildren, Mallory Bedard and her partner Kyle Aguiar of Tiverton, Abigail Holding and her husband Devin of Fall River, and Evan Lee Malone of Warren; as well as three great-grandchildren, Adriana and Chandler Holding and Ashton Aguiar.
