Joseph S. Marques, age 73, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his residence in Berkley. Born in Fall River, raised in Swansea, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Catherine (Lema) Marques and was a longtime resident of the city.
A Boston Red Sox enthusiast, he enjoyed watching the games with his mother. Joseph loved to entertain his friends with a dinner party; he enjoyed celebrating holidays and a well-made apple pie. He will be missed by many friends and caretakers at People Incorporated.
He is survived by his guardian and friend, Susan Astle and friend, Carol Wester.
His visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
