Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Gosciminski) Morissette, she had been a longtime resident of Swansea.
A graduate of the former Dominican Academy, class of 1958, she received her nursing degree from the St. Anne’s Hospital Nursing School. A natural caregiver, she worked in the healthcare industry for over forty years as a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Anne’s Hospital in the Pediatric Ward where she was the head nurse and later worked at Pediatric Associates of Fall River for many years.
A communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, she enjoyed her time volunteering in Honduras with Father Pregana while on missionaries.
She is survived by her sister, Monica Watkinson and her husband Clinton “Wicky” Watkinson of Swansea and many nieces and nephews including, Paul Morissette and his wife Melody, Mary Pat Morissette, Jennifer Quinn and her companion Glen Regan, Clinton Watkinson Jr. and his wife Sandra, Aaron Watkinson and his wife Susanna, Sarah Jane Cadorette and her husband Keith, Erika Dias and her husband Neal, Sharon Williams and her husband Percy and many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul and Leo Morissette.
Her visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited.
