June 13, 1958 – June 16, 2018
Christopher Stephen Marsh passed away following a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Northside General Hospital. Chris spent the last 20 years working in Fort MacMurray where he worked with local 92. When he was home, he loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid music lover and always had the music blasting in the background. Chris will be dearly missed by his children, Corey (Courtney), Kenneth, Christopher and Vicki, Chrystal and Tracey, 13 grandchildren, brothers, Lewis (Ann), David (Karen) and Wayne (Judy), sisters, Valerie Russell, Peggy Marsh and Lorna (Paul) MacLean as well as many nieces, nephews and friends including lifelong friend Michael Taylor. Chris was predeceased by his parents Kenneth & Margaret (nee Rigby) Marsh, 2 brothers Derek and Barry along with a nephew Zachary and brothers-in-law Edward Russell and John LeRoy. Friends can pay their respects and visit with Chris’ family at a visitation on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Avenue, Sydney Mines. Every spring Mom and Chrissy had their little ritual. He would saunter into the yard and snatch a bike and start running through the yards and Trudy would go after him. Eventually she came back with the bike and Chrissy "got away" again!! : ) They laughed about those memories as adults...just so you know!! I am so sorry for the loss of your brother and friend.
