Florence Annie Cadwell Marks

84, Little Pond

Florence Annie (Cadwell) Marks, age 84, Little Pond, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at the Northside General Hospital.Born in Little Pond, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Brown) Cadwell.

She was a member of Wilson United Church and enjoyed her many years of employment with the School Board. In her earlier years she loved to go camping and fishing as well as do knitting and sewing for many people.

She is survived by her sons, Stanley (TheIma) Gear, Florence, Alexander Marks at home; daughters, Alice (John) Brown, Margaree, Miriam (William) Ferguson, Sydney Mines; stepdaughter, Florence Cadwell, Ontario; daughter-in-law,, Sandra Gear, Little Pond. Also surviving are sisters, Adaliade (Robert) Dyet, Ontario, Marjorie (Dan) Theriault, Little Pond, Vinnie Marks, Florence; sister-in-law, Nancy Cadwell, Little Pond; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Marks; her son, Henry Gear; brothers, Mons, Stanley, Jim, Joseph and her sister, Kathleen.

Visitation for the late Mrs. Marks was held on Monday, December 18, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home. Funeral

services were celebrated Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. in Wilson United Church with Mrs. Norma Mills officiating. Burial took place in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
