88, Neil’s Harbour

Irene Ingram, 88, from Neil’s Harbour, passed away at Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax, January 20,2012, surrounded by family.

Born in Grand Bruit, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Harriet Jane (Lillington) Ingram.

She will be missed by daughters, Elsie Engram, Halifax, Linda (Duval) Tingley, Cape North, Nancy (Paul) Fahie, Sambro; sons, Albert (Shirley) Ingram, Port Hawkesbury, Carter (Joan) Ingram, Halifax. Also survived by sister, Margaret Rogers, Glace Bay; sisters-in-law, Joan Ingram, Margaree, Verna Ingram, Ontario; brother-in-law, Ronald (Bernice) Ingram, Neil’s Harbour and extended family. Also 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husband, Clarence, sisters, Miram and Susan, brother, Edgar, and longtime friend and companion, Clifford Smith.

Special thanks to all the staff 3rd floor, Arborstone for their exceptional care and compassion to Mom and their kindness and support to the family. Also thanks to Canon Rod Gillis and Rev. Keltie Van Binsbergen for their visits and prayers.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation. A memorial service will be held in St. Andrews Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour, on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Warren Huestis officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour, Arborstone Enhanced Care (3rd floor), Halifax, or charity of choice.
