James Robinson

It is with great sadness that the family of James "Jimmy" Milton Robinson, announce his passing on September 7th, 2026. Jimmy passed away at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neil’s Harbour, surrounded by his family.

Born in Ingonish Beach on August 15,1945, Jimmy was one of twelve children of the late Timothy and Pearl (Donovan) Robinson.

Jimmy married his wife of 41 years, Linda Dianne Robinson (Hardy) in Springhill, Nova Scotia in 1974. Together they built a home in Ingonish, where they enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to their lawn and flowers, and creating many happy memories.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Aimee Robinson (Kris Doyon); grandchildren, Lynden and Adrien Doyon, siblings, Joe, Marion, Myrna, and Stasia, and his sister-in law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Ervin Robertson who provided unwavering friendship and support throughout his later years.

Jimmy is predeceased by his wife Dianne, siblings Francis (Fanny), Fredia, Julia, John, Leo, Monica, Millie, and Frankie (in infancy).

There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillmore & Witman Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, September 11th , 2026 at 3:30pm at St. John’s Anglican Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neil’s Harbour or the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
