Yvonne Diane Donovan

Vonnie is pre-deceased by Hugh Ross Donovan, who was her loving husband of 54 years, her son baby Joseph Donovan, her parents Cyril and Alice Bird, and her brother Alvin Bird.

She is survived by her sister Jessie (Brian), her daughters Linda (the late Micheal Buffett), Tammy (Dale), and Bonnie Jean (Eugene), her 4 grandchildren, Lucas, Jenna, Katelynn, and Emily who were her pride and joy, and her sister-in-law Laura Provost who she cherished her visits with. She also leaves behind her two dogs, Rosie and Daisy, who were her faithful companions.

During her life, Vonnie lobster fished alongside her loving husband Ross for over 35 years. She took great pride in providing for her family and loved to bake and cook, she made sure no one ever left “Nanny’s” on an empty stomach. Vonnie was also an avid knitter, spending countless hours over the years keeping her loved ones warm and comfortable with cozy socks and mittens. She will be remembered fondly as a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister.

Vonnie’s family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Jenna, Wanda, the girls from homecare, and special thank you to Dr. Ritter for your kindness and compassion over the years.

There will be no visitation, and a service will be held at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in Vonnie’s memory, the family requests all donations to be forwarded to North of Smokey Palliative Care.
