

He graduated from Baddeck Academy in 1956 and later attended St. Francis Xavier University, where his classmates nicknamed him “Lefty”. After a hockey injury, he took himself to Neil’s Harbour hospital, where he met a nurse who would one day become his wife. How quickly he discovered injury can turn into a happy accident. In 1963 he earned his business degree and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. His career took him west and he married his wife Delia in Moose Jaw in 1964. He spent most of his professional life working for the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. He retired as Chief Superintendent of Post-Secondary Education for the Province of B.C.
Albert was predeceased by his father Albert Peter Buffett, mother Triffina Buffett, younger brother Micheal Todd Buffett and sister Isabelle Buffett. He is survived by his wife Delia May Buffett. Sons Daniel Buffett and wife Dana Evans, Zaccheus Buffett, Todd Buffett and wife Jen Buffett and granddaughter Ella Buffett, and youngest son Anthony Buffett.
His funeral will be held on May 29 at St. Michael’s church in Baddeck. Visitation will be held in the morning followed by a funeral at 11 am.
