It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and Poppa, Alexander Neil Campbell on February 21, 2012 at home in Grand Mira.

Born in Sydney he was the son of the late Joe and Rose (Gillis) Campbell. Alex served with the Blackwatch for several years.

Alex is survived by his wife of 55 years Catherine (MacNeil) Campbell, daughters, Rose Marie (Ronald), Patsy (Albert), Brenda (Glenn), Tracey, and Carrie (John); sons, Sandy (Sharon), Fabian, Neil, and Michael; grandchildren, Don, Nicholas, Justin, Jordan, Courtney, Matthew, Dereck, Haley, James, Dylan, Sophie, Payton and Paige and great grandson, Jaxon and 2 expected great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sister, Effie Martin. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation for the late Mr. Campbell will be held Friday, February 24 at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. both at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel.

Charitable donations may be made to the Heart & Stoke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
