Andrew 'Andle' James Alex

Born in Sydney at St. Rita's hospital December 8, 1990, passed away March 27, 2021. He was the son of Victoria Alex and John Sylliboy. Andrew (Andle) was a member of the Holy Family Parish. He was a former carpenter at Eskasoni Housing. He took a lot of pride in his carpentry work. Always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed help. His work was done in many homes and volunteered his time helping families prepare their homes for wakes when help was needed. Andle will be missed by all who knew him. He was a loving and devoted father to his one and only Storm Andrew.

Left to mourn are his mother Victoria Alex and father John Sylliboy. Brothers Melvin and Jerome of Eskasoni, sister Lindsay Sylvester (Joey) of Membertou. Nieces Leona, Payson, Emily, Ally, Isla and Hanna, nephews Kelly Boy and Baby Joey. God parents Charles (Donna) Sylliboy and Lisa Johnson. Three godchildren Quentin Poulette Jr, Lindsay Sanwel Paul and Dominic Poulette. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Toni Alexandra, maternal grandparents Putus Victor Alex Sr., Leona (Prosper) Alex, paternal grandparents Simon Sylliboy and Mary Sylliboy, uncle Bosco Alex Sr.

The visitation will begin at 7pm on Saturday April 10th, at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni and continue until Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Monday April 12th, Holy Family Church in Eskasoni with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating.
