It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew ‘Andy’ Arsenault, age 76 our dear husband, father, brother on Sunday January 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Margaree, raised in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Simon Peter and Justine (LeBlanc) Arsenault.
Andy is survived by his wife of 46 years Teresa Campbell and his three sons Rod (Donna), Fredericton; Donnie (Lisa), Glace Bay and Greg (Erin), Sydney and cherished grandchildren Eilidh, Braeden, Madeline, Sophie, Meredith and Levi and many nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are sisters Sr. Catherine, Delia (Paul); Helen (Joe) and brother Simon (Sarah).
He was predeceased by his brother Fr. George, sister Anna and niece Nadine Arsenault.
As a graduate of St. F.X. and Maritime School of Social Work he worked for Child and Adolescent Services Halifax and Sydney (CBRH) as well as Family Service, Sydney. He was always on the go ranging from his intense love of golf to wood working and home improvement projects. He was involved in community projects, such as Unity House (East Bay) and Whitney Pier Neighbourhood Improvement (NIP) among others.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 - 4pm & 7 - 9pm at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Internment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery.
