Surviving are his children, Bhreagh and Roan MacDonald who brought him his greatest joy in life; brother David (Cheryl); sister Carolyn (Joey Larade); nephews Nathan and Cameron MacDonald and Connor Larade; his aunts Shirley (Clarence) MacPhail, Barb MacDonald, Jeanette MacDonald and Mary Lou MacDonald, Uncle Ken Barrett (Nellie) and many caring cousins.
Andrew was a welder for most of his working years, more recently he fished lobster. Known for his kind and caring ways, Andrew was always ready to lend a helping hand. Music brought him comfort, especially that of Stan Rogers and the Trews. Crossword puzzles were a favorite pastime as was writing poems. Andrew had a great sense of humour and could have you laughing through your tears in difficult times. He was blessed in life with very close friends. From childhood to adult life, their friendship was a gift to each of them.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who have reached out to us and supported us in so many ways.
