Anita Maureen Scott, 72, of 15 Ironside Dr., Sydney, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Cleophas (Currie) Stewart. She was a member of Holy Redeemer parish, Sydney. Anita was devoted to her family always enjoying her time with them and also being outdoors gardening or indoors crocheting. She is survived by a daughter Karen and a son Derrick, both at home. Also by two sisters, Mrs. Connie Currie of Glace Bay and Carol (Bernie) MacIntyre of Dominion and four brothers, Fred, Kenneth (Cathy) and Raymond, all of Glace Bay, and Frank (Theresa) of New Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband George Albert in 2004, two infant children, Brenda and Michael, brother John and by two siblings in infancy.
Visitstion for the late Mrs. Scott will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday in Holy Redeemer Church Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
