

It is with sad and broken hearts that we announce the passing on Thursday, February 26, 2026, of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt Ashley Rose Doucette, affectionately known as Ash. Born on October 31, 1989 to Arlene Doucette and Daniel “Danny” Doucette. Ash was an inspiration to those around her.
Despite the health struggles throughout her life, she always maintained a positive attitude and a joyful disposition. She was known for her smile, her laugh and her joking, playful personality. She loved being around those she loved, family, friends, her cats. She also enjoyed music, scrapbooking, playing cards and travelling.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers John James Bernard and Noel Albert Doucette, brother Matthew (in infancy), uncle Seymour, aunt Jenny and her best friend Sindy.
Left to mourn are her parents Arlene and Daniel, her siblings Adam (Ashley) and Alyssa, her grandmothers Catherine Bernard and Georgina Doucette, aunts and uncles on the Bernard side, Brian (Joan), Rose, James (Marie), Karen, Elizabeth, Debbie (James), John, David, Elaine, Carol, Linda, Lorena as well as aunts and uncles on the Doucette side Vaughen, Mike (Karen), Bernice, Dooley “Donald”, John John and Ruby.
She is also survived by a nephew Xander, niece Peyton, godparents Elizabeth Bernard and John John Doucette, numerous godchildren Jahlaya, Anita, Mae, John and Catherine Bernard and many friends including Annie Laura, Paulina, Leanne, Hopey, Cayson, Heather, Kaidence, Connie, Mary C, Elton, Gina, Samantha, Blake, Valerie Morris, Jerrylee, Jordan, Dorianna, Janelle, Shannon, Jean J., Aaron, Claude, Amanda, Cheryl P., Theresa, Sarah, Bella, Jenny Rose, Desna, Claude Johnson, Donald, Lleyton, Bailey, Tyler and many more that we may have forgotten.
A visitation will take place at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting on Sunday, March 1 at 7pm and continuing up until the Funeral Mass which will be held in Holy Family Church in Eskasoni on Tuesday, March 3 at 10:00am with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating. Internment and Salité to follow the mass.
