Charles James Googoo

It is with great sadness, we the family announce the sudden passing on January 1st, 2023 of Charles James Googoo of Eskasoni at the age of 62 years. Charles is survived by his wife Tabitha Googoo and his five children Mary Virginia (Sylvester Paul), Joseph Francis (Leandra Gould), Charles Jr., Andrew Kenzie and Darren Reginald. Charles was a proud grandfather to; Sylvester Paul Jr., Joseph Charlie Gould-Paul and Houston Paul. Charles is also survived by his mother Virginia; brothers: Allan, Darren and Vernon; sisters: Bridget, Jetta, Anita, Carleen, Mellissa and Andree; Godchildren: Garrett Denny and Stephanie Googoo as well as many nieces and nephews.

Charles was predeceased by his father Samuel Joseph, brother Reginald John and godparents Andrew and Dorothy Stevens.

Charles was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Eskasoni. He worked delivering oil alongside his best friend George Terrance Sylliboy for over 20 years. He was a strong family man who cared deeply for his wife, children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed.

A wake will take place at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting at 7pm on Tuesday, Jan. 10th with a funeral mass taking place at 10:30am on Thursday, Jan. 12 at Holy Family Church with Fr.
