It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Clem, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Clem passed away on Wednesday August 19th, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
Born on August 25 1944 Clem was the son of Catherine (Perry) and Phillip Lahey.
Clem was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 40 years, a fisherman by trade, and a fun and loving Grandfather. He was especially known for his quick wit and his love of teasing and "stirring the pot" of family and friends.
Clem is survived by his wife Georgina, their children Gerard (Loretta), Clement Jr. (Lisa) and Robert; his grandchildren Cyle, Michael, Sara, Dillon, Brianna, Tarryn and Katie; his sisters Edith(Harvey), Doris, June(Pius), Lucy(John), Beatrice, Cissy(Mike), and Ruby(Bruce); brothers Donald(Janet), Wayne(Janice), Wallace(Francis), and Bomber(Dawn),his sisters-in-law Barb, Dawn Jane and Helen as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Phyllis and Patricia, brothers Daniel Joseph in infancy, Stanley, Cyril, Roy and Morley, and brothers-in-law Cyril, Lloyd, Piearce, and George.
Friends and family may gather on Monday beginning at 12:30pm, prior to the funeral mass celebrated at 2:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Main a Dieu with Rev. Bill Burke officiating.
