Born October 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John and Geneva (Gerrior) Nardocchio.
In her earlier years, she worked as a secretary at the Motor Vehicle Branch in Sydney. Florence had studied piano and had seven years of classical music training with certificates of accomplishment from Mt. Allison University and the Toronto Conservatory of Music.
She was a stay at home mother and cherished her role as homemaker providing for the family. She had a passionate interest in anything to do with interior decorating and, as well, Florence loved and took delight in nurturing her various house plants and flowers.
Florence is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth (they would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 23, 2023); her son Christopher (Tina); sister Shirley (Pat) Magliaro, and brother, Howard (Elaine) along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her sisters Ruth (Malcolm-deceased) MacNeil and Mary, brother John (Mary-deceased).

Visitation for Florence Beaton will be held at TW Curry Funeral Home on Thursday October 5th from 6-9pm. A concelebrated funeral mass at St Theresa's Church in Sydney at 10am on Friday, October 6th with Father Evo Dipierro and Father Everett MacDow officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence memory to the Mass for Shut ins, Sydney, NS or a charity of choice.
