Heather was born Sept 6, 1971 the daughter of the late Peter MacIntyre and the late Annie Mae MacIntyre (McLeod) who passed away during Heather's childhood years. Heather was adopted by Louis and Rachael Short of Sydney and grew up with her sister and best friend Myra Ley (David) and brother Frank (Nena). Heather is survived by her devoted daughter Jessica, and her siblings Francis, Johnnie, Christine, and Carrie.
Heather was predeceased by her brother PJ MacIntyre, and by her loving partner Chris Crittenden. She adored his children Avery and Sarah, along with many nieces and nephews. Heather was well loved by her many friends who will dearly miss her including Blair, Carmie, Leo, Amanda, Rachel, Rod, Don, Amanda, and Dave.
Heather had exceptional customer service skills was employed with Zellers and the Bargain Shop before her career in quality assurance at The Sydney Call Center. Heather's favorite time of year was Halloween, she had a talent for dressing up in costumes. Heather was an animal lover who had both dogs and cats. She was a big supporter of the Cape Breton Pride community where she often attended parades, parties and dances. Heather was kind to everyone, her sincerity was genuine and that made her very well loved.
